Around the world 2009

Under the Eiffel Tower

In 2009 Mike and I backpacked around the world - well close enough, we visited 14 countries and approximately 40 cities over 7 months. I could list all the cities but its too many, so instead just the countries we saw. Starting in California and finishing in Japan, this saw us seeing the  West and East coast of america, England & Scotland, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany and lastly Japan. There are still so many places and countries that I want to see.

Inspirational Quote

A few years ago my mum posted the above quote on the mirror in the bathroom. As you can see from the 1st picture the date 28/6/09, its still there today. I love this quote, when ever i'm feeling uncertain about something new I am reminded that its ok to be scared about it, its part of life. I don't often do something new every day but if I am holding back about doing something new I think of the quote and it makes it easier when I do that something new. I have decided to turn that little piece of paper stuck on the mirror in the bathroom into a print and to frame it so I can have it in my study. 

Jess's Moroccan Themed Hens 2011

The beautiful bride to be

Thanks to Steph and Mel who orgainsed a great Moroccan themed Hen do for Jess at the Clovelly Beach Huts in January. It was a great day with everyone dressed up to the max, from colourful kaftans, big dangling earrings, lots of bangles on everyone's arms and rings on every finger. The hut was decorated in bright colour fabric and cushions, rugs, balloons and flower petals were scattered all over the floor. Everyone enjoyed the day, eating, drinking and even getting massages.
